Officially Summer

We officially brought the pool out for the summer. It was wild!

Non stop fun for these 3!

I managed to get some cool action shots. (I promise Nathaniel isn't actually that tan.)

 Love this one!

Reilly never fails at getting a good laugh. :)

So thankful for warm weather, and wonderful friends.

Oh, and I am so excited to say that we are having a fence built within the next couple weeks! After three years of me being a nervous wreck while we play outside, it is about time. I can't wait for lots of worry free adventures just outside our door.

So...

I like the idea of blogging. I even have lots of blog ideas. BUT, I do not like taking the time to blog. There...I said it. I will try to do better.

Weekend fun

We spent last weekend with our family in Sherwood. I don't know why we don't go there more. We always have so much fun. The boys especially love being with their cousins now. They decorated cupcakes, and hunted eggs. I don't think they could ask for more. :)

On Saturday we took the boys to eat at All Aboard Restaurant. It was such a treat for them, and probably the coolest place they have eaten. Seriously, trains and little boys just go together perfectly. There is a train that runs on a track above you, and it delivers the food to each table. It kept the boys entertained the whole time. That's a win for the parents too! :) The food was very reasonably priced too. I imagine this was the first of many trips.

Here are the boys dressed up for Easter.

I am honestly ok with the fact that all their together photos turn out this way.

Busy

I've been busy creating. It feels so good to slowly get back into sewing and crafting. I've been on an extended break, but I think I'm ready to start again. Here are a couple things I worked on. Hopefully, much more to come!

I just can't enough of these ruffled butt onesies! They are super easy, and super cute! I need to plan something for the front, but this sweet baby gift is almost ready. (p.s. I will trim those extra threads. ha!)

I have also been making wreaths for our front door. Our poor front door went undecorated for over two years, but no more! Now I can't stand the thought of leaving it bare. And seriously, this was like a 10 minute project once I got the supplies together.

I love these sweet boys!

We had a little photo shoot this morning...just because I'm so good at getting us ready we had extra time. Ha! That's not true at all, except we did somehow have extra time.

Ethan did a real number on his this weekend. Scared me to death! This boy just tries to find reasons to go to the ER. It doesn't look so bad now, but he hit it straight on the concrete when we were playing outside.

Angry bird attack complete with angry bird noise. Yep, he has talent!

This little boy is turning into such a sweetie! He helped me pack his lunch this morning. He did everything except make the sandwich. I'm thinking it's time to give him a shelf in the pantry, and let him have that responsibility. He also really likes to "help" me out by bossing Ethan. :)

I am amazed with how smart he is getting. He reads really well, loves to spell, knows the days of the week and months of the year, counts to 100, and we've been working on learning everyone's birthday. The subject of birthday comes up daily because he is so ready to 5 and go to kindergarten. I just don't know how to break it to him that he still has another year of preschool. That's life with an October birthday. He has made great strides from the little boy that barely talked at 3 years old.

Ethan says, "my turn."

One other thing I'm super excited about. Stefan has been accepted into the Doctor of Education program at Vanderbilt. He applied several months ago never expecting to have a chance, but here we are surprised, happy, and ready. Even better, he also received a scholarship for 1/3 off the tuition each year, and an extra $1000 on top of that. He starts this summer, and we are so ready to see where God takes us through all of this.  We don't have to move. He will be going 6 weekends a semester for the next three years. Sometimes we will go with him. Fortunately my sister and her family live there, and we don't see them enough. So here is our chance.
