Busy Summer!

I'm going to try and do better about putting pictures on the computer.  Honestly, I'm lazy and I don't want to do it. Ha! I do most everything from my phone, and I just don't get to the real computer very often.

Anyways, we have been staying very busy this summer. I'm almost afraid to stay home all morning, and I try to get them out so they can reward me with a good nap. Ethan always naps, Nathaniel sometimes does. We have been to CMOM, the zoo, the playground all several times. We go over to Sean's house to swim and play, and we have a pool here for the days we stay at home. Needless to say, I have the best tan I've had in years. :)

Nathaniel has really started talking a ton this summer. He can say anything he wants to now, and I am always so amazed when he says something that I know he hasn't heard from Stefan or me. His favorite phrase right now is "It's not fair." I honestly don't know where he heard that from. He is definitely keeping us on our toes. He also loves to spell things. Words he can spell right now: Nathaniel, Ethan, cat, dog, train, stop, car... I know there are a few more, and he is constantly asking us to spell things for him. I think he is doing pretty good for a 3 year old.

Ethan is still my sweet little mama's boy most of the time. He is definitely letting me know that he is almost two with some of his fit throwing. Other than that, he is so good about going with flow. He can be happy pretty much anywhere. He LOVES to have an audience. In fact, I have been working with him on a few signs, and motions to songs.  He will never do them for me! But, when he had an audience at nana's house last week he quickly showed us the sign for: eat, milk, juice, please. He also pointed to his eye and nose, and did the motions for wheels on the bus, and head shoulders knees and toes. We have been working a lot with pointing to pictures in books. He really enjoys doing that. He is still a man of few words though. I know he can say things, but I really think he is just quiet. Developmentally he shows no delays at all, and he definitely understands things. He just doesn't care to say them. His favorite words are juice, and shoes. Funny, I know. He can also say ball, banana, balloon, bubble, daddy, mama, dog...I know he says some other things too.

Hopefully I will feel a little caught up on the blog now, and start actually posting on a regular basis. I'm not getting my hopes up too much though. Ha!

First day of summer break in pictures!

We had an eventful, but good first day of summer break. I have hope that we can make it if we just take it one day at a time. :)



So this is what happened to Poor Nathaniel around 9 in the morning. I really don't know what happened to start this, but Ethan definitely bit him. Biting will not be tolerated, and I am not labeling him a biter yet. He sure did a number on big brother though.



Nathaniel and I did some school review. He is so amazing. He has started verbally spelling several words now, and these are the few that he can write. He was getting sloppy at the end...that word in orange is train. He loves to just go around asking us how to spell things. I love it too!



They were so sweet and had a little iPad time while I fixed dinner. I love these little moments.

The bite mark I found on Ethan yesterday evening. Not sure who started with the biting now...this looks a day old to me. For those of you wondering, yes I do watch them during the day. :)
